Hi everyone,
My name is Sarit Rubinstein and I am a cake decorator and a teacher.
Lately I’ve been approached by many of you asking for more information about the decorating cakes classes I teach and I promised I’d post it here.
So here it is:
What?
Decorating cakes classes, the Wilton way (http://www.wilton.com/classes/ )
Where?
Michael’s store, 37 White st. Cambridge MA 02140 (Porter square, Cambridge)
How does it work?
Wilton offers 4 courses.
Each course runs 4 weeks. We meet once a week, each meeting is 2 hours.
Course 1 – decorating basics
Course 2 – flowers and cake design
Course 3 – Gum paste and Fondant (“BATZEK SUKAR”)
Course 4 – Advanced gum paste flowers
All students have to start from course 1, the basics, and then move to the others if they wish to.
When?
All courses run throughout the year. Once a new cycle start (course 1) we keep all 4 courses the same day and time, so students can complete all 4 courses at the same day and hour.
Next cycle: Coming in January – Course 1 (decorating basics) starting at Friday 4th, at 10:00 am.
(At the moment I am also teaching courses 2+3 on Monday and Saturday morning, so within few weeks those days will be available for new cycle as well).
How to sign up?
You sign up at Michael’s in Cambridge, the same store where the class is.
What to bring?
When signing up, you’ll get a list of all the things you need to bring to the first class. Among them is a class kit (make sure to buy it with a 40% coupon!).
Fun?
You Bet!!!
Hope it helps.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
