My school supply stash (less the items I have already removed for children’s back to school lists; all items were FREE or less than $1 each)
It’s time to think about back to school! With all the deals that are running between now and Labor Day, you should be able to get their supplies for this year for fairly cheap or FREE! Plus consider purchasing extras for your stockpile as they will likely need supplies replenished throughout the year.
How I Shop For Back To School: I purchase items that are FREE throughout the year. I am always trying to think ahead. If I get an abundance of items, I donate them to the school or our local women and children’s shelter. When I get my children’s supply lists, I go through my stockpile and mark off the items I have in my stash. I then purchase the great deals as I find them. Just before the first day of school, I go to Walmart and purchase the remaining items on the list that I did not find deals on.
Tips: Walmart will price match many local ads. If you can’t make it to one of the stores, take the ad to Walmart to score the great deal. Just keep in mind that they will not match rebate items.
If there is an amazing deal on an item (such as the penny items at Staples), pick up some extras and donate them to your child’s school for underprivileged children.
If you don’t have your child’s school supply list yet, check your local Walmart. They should have the lists at one of the front doors.
