Hello skiers (and snowboarders),
Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. It's getting to be that time of year again--our annual ski trip is approaching!
Vacation details:
Check in the evening of either Friday, December 21st or Saturday, December 22nd, and
Check out the morning of either Monday, December 24th or Tuesday, December 25th.
Note that the day you check out, you still ski. You leave the hotel in the morning, drive to South Ridge lodge, spend the day skiing and leave whenever you are done!
The cost for the standard 3 night, 3 day package (for example, arriving Saturday night and skiing through Tuesday) is $306 for adults and $275 for kids under 12 years of age (no charge for kids 5 and under), and it includes:
-3 nights of lodging at the Grand Summit, one of 2 premier hotels on the resort:
The Grand Summit is a ski in/ski out lodge with a health club, spa, sauna and heated outdoor pool- bring bathing suits!
-3 days of lift tickets, including night skiing
-3 90-minute ski lessons (not valid for kids under 15 nor for 1st time skiers)
-Coupons for a group discount on ski rentals

Note that the units with kitchenettes and sleep sofas are the most popular, and all rooms will be reserved on a first come basis. The minimum occupancy per room is listed in the Excel spreadsheet-- if you do not meet the minimum number of people in your room, you will be charged an empty bed fee (ranges by room type).
Should an adult choose not to ski (must be ahead of time-- not upon arrival), he or she will receive $75 in Sunday River money, to be spent at the gift shops, food courts, or ski stores. Juniors who choose not to ski will receive $45 in Sunday River money. The money is only valid for the duration of the ski trip.

Learn to Ski/Ride:
For anyone hitting the slopes for the first time, experienced teachers will help you learn on the gentle hill by the main lodge. Reservations recommended:http://www.sundayriver.com/SkiSchool/Learn_to_Ski_Ride.html
Junior & Younger Ski School:
For those of you with young kids interested in the Kids' Ski School, full days and half days are available for kids 3 years and older. Reservations recommended:http://www.sundayriver.com/SkiSchool/Kids_Programs.html
Day Care:
A fully licensed child care facility is available at the Grand Summit for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Reservations recommended: 207-824-5083
Limited cribs and cots available at hotel for a per day fee.
Dog Sitting:
Available close by. Information will be provided upon request.
